Quick Tips To Take Care Of Your Clothes This Diwali

Diwali is a festival of lights. With lights, there are fire crackers, sweets and other delicacies which no one resists. This is also a part of the year where your favourite clothes get stained. Unfortunately, yes! If not too much but most of the times there are a few splashes of cold drinks, sweets or food. This is the time when the beautiful Indian ethnic wear for women has to suffer. To remove such common stains from your clothes easily, read the tips below;

Removing Oil Stains – For oil stains, you need to be quick. You need to first read the garment label and accordingly wash it later on. Make sure hot water does not damage the fabric or directly dab some talcum powder on the oil stain. Talc absorbs oil and helps in the cleaning procedure. When the oil is absorbed, dust the powder and spot clean with warm water. If hot water does not damage your clothes, you can use hot water too.

Turmeric Stains – Act quickly. Avoid using hot water, as this could help the stain to set in the clothes. Apply liquid detergent directly on the stain and rub gently to remove the stain without damaging the fabric. You can also try removing the turmeric stain with the help of white vinegar.

Food Stains – Spot cleaning is the best method for removing food stain. Completely wipe off the food and use a liquid detergent. Starting gently, apply the detergent all over the stained area and wash it. Repeat if required.
